"Why Did I Buy? — Stock Feelings" is your own investment diary for jotting down the reason and emotion behind buying, selling, or passing on a stock (iOS / Android). It is not an app for chasing prices or profit/loss, but a notebook for quietly looking back on your own judgment later. Records and photos are all stored only inside your device and are never sent to an external server. This App does not provide investment advice or trade recommendations.
Record any of three actions — bought / sold / passed — in 30 seconds (passing is treated as an equal choice) / when you close a position, check back against "the you who bought it" / show realized gain/loss (yen and %) on closed positions (a reference value from your input) / record your feelings with 8 emotion tags, with voice input for the reason note / a lessons notebook (your own maxims across stocks) / review (record breakdown, emotional tendencies, days continued) / market-tone notes and photo attachments / notifications for the planned holding period and a weekly review reminder / export all records to a paper-notebook-style PDF for printing (Premium) / adjustable text size for comfortable reading.
Where are records stored?
Entirely on your device only. No account is required, and we cannot view or obtain your data. There is no automatic cloud backup. Before changing devices, please export manually from "Data management" in Settings. Uninstalling deletes all data, including photos.
How do I change devices?
On the old device, "Export" a backup file (ZIP) and save it wherever you like (Google Drive, iCloud Drive, etc.), then restore it via "Import" on the new device.
Do you handle profit/loss or prices?
The App does not connect to market data such as prices. Unit price and share count are recorded as optional "factual notes." For closed records, it shows realized gain/loss calculated from the unit price you entered (a reference value excluding taxes and fees).
About ads
The App shows ads (Google AdMob) so it can stay free. Buying the in-app "Premium" removes ads.
Notifications aren't arriving
Please check that notifications for this app are allowed in your device settings, and that notifications (planned holding period, weekly review) are on in the app's settings. Power-saving settings may delay notifications.
Where can I export/print a PDF?
From the top of the "Review" screen, "Export/print as PDF," you can compile all records into a paper-notebook style to view, print or save (a Premium feature).
